The only lodging available within the Joshua Tree National Park is camping. There are nine campgrounds available for overnight camping year round with tables, fireplaces and toilets. In addition, there are several picnic areas which are available for day use. Water is available at only the Black Rock and Cottonwood campgrounds, and there are no showers or RV hook ups at any of the camp grounds. Also, gathering wood, whether living or dead, is strictly forbidden within the park, so visitors must bring or purchase firewood.
